Why the free version watermarks.

Every visual control is free. Not a sample of the backgrounds, not two of the shadows — all of it, including the custom gradient editor, because a free tier that can’t make a good-looking shot isn’t a tool, it’s an advert. The line is drawn at output and volume instead: the watermark, and one screenshot at a time. That is what keeps the free version free of a trial clock, a card up front or a cap on your exports. Pay once and both go, along with the store-exact sizes, the rest of the frame library, batch, projects and presets.

Is Pro a subscription?No. One payment for a lifetime licence, updates included. There is no plan to add a subscription.
Do I need an account?No. Plinth has no accounts and no sign-in. Pro is a licence key you paste into the app; activation talks to a licence server and nothing else.
Can I move it to a new Mac?Yes — deactivate the old machine and enter the same key on the new one. Same key, same call.
What does the watermark look like?A small Plinth mark in the corner of the exported image. It never sits over your screenshot, and the export is full resolution either way.
Does the free version expire?No. There is no trial clock and no cap on how many shots you export — it keeps working for as long as you want it.
