The canvas is your playground.
Four things sit between a raw screenshot and the final masterpiece: what's behind it, what falls beneath it, how it's angled, and what it says.
No photography, no faux texture, no noise layer. Gradients are two- or three-stop, spotlights are radial, and the flats are flats. Pro adds one more option: your own artwork behind the shot.
Shadow that scales with the render.
The device shadow is geometry, not a preset blur: every offset, blur and spread is a ratio of the device’s width, so a 1× preview and a 3× export cast the same shadow.
Tilt it. Float it. Don’t break it.
One slider turns the device in space — a horizontal turn with proper foreshortening, bounded to about 28° each way so the extremes still look deliberate. Switch on the floor reflection and the device gets a faded double beneath it, masked out as it falls away.
The words go in the picture.
Captions are rendered into the composition, which means they’re in the export — no second pass in another app. Type several lines and the plate makes room rather than letting the text collide with the device.
And the ground you work on.
Three editor grounds, chosen in Preferences. The dot grid doubles as the transparency indicator, so a PNG with alpha looks like one.
